I have headed and coached numerous programs for clubs, academies and players through Europe. My wide range of experience on the ground with players, parents, coaches , tournament director has created my vision of coaching. I am now helping our everyone to understand to find their path.

My past position as Program Manager for the Australian Institute of Sport at TENNIS AUSTRALIA and my strong background as a national and international coach have provided me the opportunity to work at the highest level with past and current professional tennis athletes, touring on the ATP/WTA. My experience offers the right combination of coaching and management skills, enable to bring you professionals services.

Leading academy in the tennis performance, the place was the the place to be in those year in Europe. Top achievement on the tour for men or women players, I develop the scholarship program in order to help all project to be successful for the US program, coaching fields and high performance program lead by Nick Wheale. Headed by Jeremy BATES, plenty of top quality coaches was part of this great project, heavily involved with the ATP & WTA actual circuit.

Managed London and Barcelona training bases for the AIS- TA PRO-TOUR headed by Brent LARKHAM. I administrated , managed and coordinated the AIS program for ATP& WTA Australian player ranked between top 50 and top 250, including Alan Jones, Chris Guccione, jarmilla Gadjosova in collaboration with world-renowned coaches, including former top 10 Felix Mantilla, Brent Larkham, Chris Johnson, James Trotman and Ian Prangley.

Heading the school program for such a quality school is a great honour. The interest given to this sport is unique and the devotion of each individual stunning. The build of the technical aspect and the quest for development of the understanding of the improvement is similar to the attention given to each other school subject.

Helping out individual and collectives is still of a very kind of interest for me. I grew up on the court as a player, grew up as a coach and I have spent more than 30 years understanding the tennis game. The passion for this sport, back in the 80's has driven my life's choices and I have been lucky to travel the world during my career in this industry. I then love spending time with any passionate people and tennis lovers, who are willing to understand the difficulty of this path and looking for solutions to their tennis problem, I can sort out a lot, but it may take me a while for some of them, as unfortunately oppose to what the youngster generation may think its takes more than few diploma taken on the corner of a table to support correctly in the long term a player development.

Sharing experience with EVERYONE matters


When you look back at all those years of learning you realise that every project plan you had with each player had to be different. The environment, the time frame, the ability, the mind set, the emotional control, the physical capacity, the willingness to pursue their dream, the sacrifice you had to do, the resilience of becoming what you were planning to do. Coaching is all about that. It takes your all life to understand how complex is to help out someone. The actual methodology are not founded on what you don't know but on what everybody's know. It is common knowledge who is easy learned from the web. Unfortunately it doesn't show how to use it and what are the difference implication they have between each other. I nurture my personal coaching methodology which I finally manage to put a grip on and use across all my training program. . All this project are different as we are working with humans, but their is one big similarity: the way you are organising your process development. With the help of help of fantastic people (Matthew Cooke) open to ideas and with a huge knowledge in others industry, we created the JMT DIPLOMA COACHING. It is the red line used for all improvement and enjoyment of the sport. It doesn't lie to you and make you understanding each part of the development process you have to think of, before asking someone to do it. The asking to do is different of the learning to understand.

Where does it come from?


We needed to nurture our own people, already in coaching full of diplomas from federation, but unaware that the reality of this job is not only about being there. It is all about results. Their excitement of coaching , desire is dropping and they are loosing their way. Let's be honest you don't do it for the money (even if it is important) but because it is your passion. The vision is not defined, the environment is getting bored, and the motivation is getting lower and lower. The vision of an easy job is getting further and further, because our new coaches hasn't been prepared and supported once they start the day to day coaching work. Federations use the vibe that coaching is great , get into it and you will do a great job, pass your diploma and you will be the best coach of the world,( they should say in your town) and once you get it you are by yourself , and realise that what you are facing is NOT what you have been told. You then face the REALITY of the work. Isolation , routines, parents pressure, players disappointment and worse you do not find the solution of all those problem in this environemt. We went through all this, and with experience, trials, success, errors we organised solution. They are the same that you learned , but the day to day has sculpted the way we delivers it now.
